Built to imitate bloodworms and red chironomid larvae, the Bloodworm Chironomid features a deep red translucent body with segmented ribbing and subtle iridescent flash. The slim profile closely matches the natural shape of chironomid larvae, while the rich red coloration creates a strong feeding trigger for trout.

Each fly is hand-tied on a Firehole Sticks hook and finished with a tungsten bead to help it sink quickly and stay near the bottom where bloodworms are commonly found. Available in sizes #10, #12, and #14 to match a range of chironomid sizes and conditions.

Ideal for trout in lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. Fish it beneath an indicator, as part of a multi-fly chironomid rig, or close to the bottom with a slow retrieve.
